Panchagavya

Panchagavya is a biofertilizer having the potential to play the role of promoting growth and providing immunity in the plant systems. It is prepared from the 5 key elements of the Cow like cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, and ghee. Additional integrant includes curd, jaggery, ghee, banana, Tender coconut, and water to increase microbial growth.

Method of Application:

The use of a 3% solution with water is most effective for preparing biological fertilizer before application to plants, and it can be provided to plants in the following methods..

Spray system: 

The power sprayers of 10 litre capacity may need 300 ml/tank.

Drenching:

Panchagavya can be mixed with irrigation water at 50 litre per hectare either through drip irrigation or flow irrigation.

Seed/seedling treatment:

A 3% solution of Panchagavya can be used to soak the seeds or dip the seedlings before planting. Soaking for 20 minutes is sufficient.

Target Crop:

each and every vegetable plant, crop, and tree.

Period of Application:

• Once in 15 days for the pre-flowering phase.
• Once in 10 days in the flowering and pod setting phase.
• Once during the Fruit/Pod maturations.
